Members & Invites

How people get into your organization, and how you manage them once they're in.

    Three ways in

    1. Automatic join: with auto-add for your domain enabled (Organization settings), colleagues from your Microsoft tenant join the moment they sign up for timelit. Zero admin work.
    2. Add from your tenant: on Teams → Members, admins can directly add colleagues who already use timelit within your Microsoft tenant.
    3. Invite by email: on Teams → Invites, send an invitation to any email address and assign a role (Member or Admin) up front.

    Managing invites

The Invites tab tracks every invitation and its status: Pending, Accepted, or Declined. A pending invite can be revoked at any time. The invited person sees the invitation when they sign in to timelit (and as a notification on their Dashboard) and can accept or decline.

    Managing members

The Members tab lists everyone with their role and plan. As an admin you can:

    • Change roles: promote members to admin or back. (The only admin can't demote themselves; promote someone else first.)
    • Assign plans: select which members get a Teams license. If you select more members than you have free seats, timelit shows exactly how many new licenses are needed and takes you to checkout, see Licenses & Billing.
    • Remove members: they lose access to organization resources immediately.

    Good to know

    • A member with their own personal subscription keeps it. It's marked in the member list so you don't accidentally pay twice for the same person. They may want to cancel their personal plan once the organization covers them.
    • A plan marked Pending means a seat was selected but checkout hasn't been completed yet.
