Preferences & Profile
Settings that shape how timelit talks to you and writes for you.
Profile (Settings → Account)
Your nickname and your job. These aren't cosmetic, they feed directly into the AI features:
- The nickname is how timelit addresses you (dashboard greeting, briefings).
- Your job/role description shapes email drafts: timelit writes from the perspective of someone in your position.
You set both during onboarding and can refine them here anytime. The more honest the role description ("I'm a sales lead, I mostly handle pricing questions and escalations"), the better the drafts.
Preferences (Settings → Preferences)
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Language | English or German. Applies to the app interface and to the emails timelit sends you (briefings, meeting summaries). |
| Product News & Updates | Whether you receive emails about new timelit features. Off means off; this only controls marketing-style updates, never functional emails like your briefing. |
Unsaved changes
Configuration pages save explicitly via the save button. If you navigate away with unsaved changes, timelit warns you. Nothing is silently lost or silently applied.
