Changelog
What's new in timelit, in plain language. Only things you can actually see or benefit from; internal improvements and fixes are not listed. Newest first. Where a feature rolled out over several days, the date marks the first release.
June 2026
Chat got a major upgrade (June 6, 2026). Answers now stream in live as they're written instead of appearing all at once, and they come with proper formatting: lists, headings, and structure instead of a wall of text.
Invite anyone to your organization by email (June 8, 2026). Teams admins can now invite people who aren't in your Microsoft tenant yet: send an invite to any email address, assign the role up front, and track whether it's pending, accepted, or declined. See Members & Invites.
Account deletion with a 30-day safety net (June 5, 2026). You can now delete your account fully self-service. Connectors pause immediately, but your data is kept for 30 days so you can change your mind. See Deleting your account.
Smarter meeting time suggestions (June 5, 2026). The search for free slots was reworked to find better-fitting times in your calendar.
Better as an app on your phone (June 8, 2026). Proper app icons on iOS and Android make the installed timelit app feel native on your home screen.
May 2026
timelit speaks German (May 27, 2026). The entire app and all emails timelit sends (briefings, summaries, notifications) are now available in German. Switch anytime under Settings → Preferences.
A completely new look (May 15, 2026). The app was redesigned from the ground up: cleaner layout, light and dark theme, and a proper mobile experience with bottom navigation.
Install timelit as an app (May 29, 2026). timelit can now be installed on your phone or desktop directly from the browser, with no app store needed.
Automatic Outlook contacts (May 21, 2026). New feature: everyone you email becomes an Outlook contact, enriched with company, phone, and website from their signature, and tagged "timelit" so you stay in control. See Contact Creation.
Working hours, your way (May 18, 2026). Meeting scheduling now has a visual availability grid: drag to set your hours per weekday, including split ranges (e.g. a lunch break), or simply follow your Microsoft working hours automatically. See Meeting Scheduling.
Your booking link in slot proposals (May 18, 2026). Scheduling emails can now include your booking page (e.g. Microsoft Bookings) as a self-service alternative to the proposed times.
Your meeting history, imported (May 18, 2026). When you connect, timelit now also imports your existing Teams meeting transcripts from the past months, so Chat and Knowledge Search can answer questions about meetings that happened before timelit.
Slot proposals based on real availability (May 7, 2026). Suggested meeting times are grounded directly in your live calendar and working hours, with your preferred meeting length applied.
Action-required emails can be flagged (May 1, 2026). Optionally, timelit sets an Outlook follow-up flag on emails that need action, so they appear in your Outlook to-do list.
April 2026
Drafts now know the whole conversation (April 27, 2026). Reply drafts take the full email thread history into account, so the suggested answer fits the conversation instead of just the last message.
Categories became fully yours (April 21, 2026). Custom email categories with your own names, colors, and descriptions, including a better color picker and sensible limits. See Email Categorization.
Smoother Microsoft connection (April 20, 2026). The connection flow was reworked so you always end up back where you started, with clear feedback when your organization requires admin approval.
Clearer subscription status (April 17, 2026). The app now tells you exactly where your trial or subscription stands and what to do next, in plain language instead of cryptic states.
Smarter AI across the board (April 6, 2026). The engines behind email drafts, the daily briefing, meeting planning, and chat answers were rebuilt for noticeably better quality.
Six months of email, available from day one (April 4, 2026). Connecting your account now imports your recent email history, so Chat and Knowledge Search are useful immediately instead of starting empty.
March 2026
Meeting Summaries launched (March 21, 2026). Teams meeting transcripts are turned into structured summaries with decisions and action items, delivered by email. Transcription can start automatically so you never forget it. See Meeting Summaries.
Smart Briefings launched (March 20, 2026). A daily email with today's meetings, important upcoming ones, and the emails waiting for your action. See Smart Briefings.
Chat launched (March 16, 2026). Ask questions about your emails and meetings in plain language and get answers with sources. See Chat.
February 2026
The new timelit foundation (February 6, 2026). Email categorization and automatic reply drafts went live on the rebuilt platform: every incoming email is understood, labeled in Outlook, and answered with a draft when action is needed. See Email Drafting and Email Categorization.
December 2025
The rewrite began (December 15, 2025). timelit was rebuilt from scratch as the product you're using today, including subscriptions with a free trial that needs no payment method up front.
